POPIA Policy

Our compliance with the Protection of Personal Information Act.

1. Purpose

This policy sets out how CPCSA complies with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA) when processing personal information of members, applicants and stakeholders.

2. Lawful Processing

We process personal information lawfully, for a specific and legitimate purpose, and only to the extent necessary to fulfil that purpose.

3. Consent

By submitting a membership application or providing your information, you consent to CPCSA processing your personal information as described in our Privacy Policy. You may withdraw consent subject to legal and contractual limits.

4. Information Quality and Retention

We take reasonable steps to keep your information accurate and up to date, and we retain it only for as long as necessary or as required by law.

5. Security Safeguards

We secure personal information in our care and require the same of any operators who process information on our behalf.

6. Data Subject Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your information, and to lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa.
